Celine Nyirabugingo, a crop farmer based in Rwamagana, dreams to become a large-scale farmer. She grew watching her mother growing onions, and learnt much about the practice at a young age. Now married and with children, she owns a number of plots in Gishali swamp, where many residents in the area grow their rice. She grows many vegetables but specializes in growing cabbages which she sells wholesale to different vendors in Rwamagana. Climate change, however, is hurting her crops and pushing her goals further out of reach.
