As the shift progresses, you can catch Natalia’s fatigue on her face. Shifts are usually 8-hour long, and depending on maintenance requirements, Natalia may have to work five nights in a row.
Night work, in addition to being exhausting, generates sleep and eating problems. In the case of women, it can lead to menstrual irregularities, as well as a greater likelihood of developing endometriosis and ovarian tumours. There is no available support provided to women like Natalia in helping to manage these issues, which can cause infertility.
