Recognizing the need to amplify the voices of underrepresented women in NAP processes, the National Adaptation Plan Global Network, with the support of Global Affairs Canada has partnered with Lensational to provide participatory photography and storytelling training to a group of seven Maasai women from the southeast part of the country. This pilot initiative is
implemented in collaboration with the Climate Change Directorate in the Ministry of Environment and
Forestry.
Over the last 6 months, the trainees have participated in a training program designed and led by Lensational in collaboration with experienced local photographers.
The aim of the program was to support the trainees in developing visual stories that capture their experiences with climate change and their visions of resilience.
These are their stories.
